Privacy Notice
Effective: 5 November 2026
Local-first design: Focus7 stores tasks, timers, reflections, Task List records, Digital Workday records, settings, recovery snapshots, and Focus XP in browser storage on the device used to access the app.
Data handled by Focus7
- User-entered productivity content, including tasks, notes, reflections, dates, expected hours, and completion records.
- Timer and workday activity, such as starts, pauses, tracked duration, Pomodoro cycles, and XP transactions.
- Application settings, themes, onboarding state, and recovery snapshots.
Where data is stored
The local-first edition uses browser storage, including localStorage and, when available, IndexedDB. Data is scoped to the browser profile and the exact website origin. Data does not automatically move between browsers, devices, domains, or browser profiles.
Backups
Users should export a JSON backup regularly. Clearing browser data, deleting a profile, losing a device, or changing domains can remove browser-held records.
Accounts and analytics
The current local-first edition does not require a Focus7 account. This notice should be updated before introducing cloud sync, user accounts, payment processing, advertising, or analytics that transmit data off the device.
Support communications
If a user contacts support@angelesia.com, the email provider will process the information supplied in the message. Users should avoid sending task content, reflections, or JSON backups unless specifically requested and necessary.
Managing local data
Users can export a JSON backup, then clear Focus7 site data using browser settings. Clearing site data is irreversible unless a separate backup exists.
